What is ShajarDost?
ShajarDost is a Pakistan-based tree plantation NGO. We've planted over 1.2 million trees and hold the national record for planting 630,000 trees in a single day (14 August 2018). We're proud contributors to the Ten Billion Trees Project vision.
How can I donate?
You can donate via direct call (0333-3197977), DeraTalk chat, or bank transfer: JS Bank / Zindigi app — Account Title M Ahmad, Number 0333-3197977, IBAN PK08 JSBL 9999 9033 3319 7977. That is our one and only official account. Choose a donation package on our Donate page, send us the amount with your receipt, and we'll plant trees in your name. We confirm all donations within 24 hours and update the status on our website.
What is Mission 50?
Mission 50 is a free pledge to plant 50 trees in your lifetime. Register for free, plant trees at your own pace — in your garden, community park, or via donation. Get a certificate when you complete your 50 trees. Our CEO has already completed Mission 50 multiple times.
Can I donate plants instead of money?
Yes! Visit our 'Buy Plants' page. You buy the saplings (from PodayOnline or your local nursery), deliver them to our HQ in Phool Nagar, and we plant them in schools, colleges, hospitals, and community parks in your name. We handle all the planting and maintenance.
What is the Green Scouts program?
Green Scouts is a school-based training program where students learn about native trees, plantation techniques, and environmental awareness. We conduct interactive sessions in schools with hands-on training. Each student gets a certificate on completion.
How does the Mini Nursery project work?
If you don't have land, you can still help. We give you seeds or saplings. You grow them in polythene bags at home (balcony or rooftop) for 3-6 months. Then donate the healthy saplings to us. We handle the final plantation and maintenance. 100 saplings can grow in just 5x5 feet of space.
What is a Miyawaki Forest?
The Miyawaki method is a Japanese technique for creating dense forests in small spaces. Trees grow 10x faster, become 30x denser, and mature in just 3 years (instead of 20). One Miyawaki forest produces 30x more oxygen than normal plantation. Contact us if interested.
Can my company sponsor ShajarDost?
Absolutely! We offer corporate sponsorship packages that help you achieve your CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) goals. Your brand logo appears on our site, banners, and certificates. We provide detailed impact reports with GPS coordinates of trees planted in your company's name. Perfect for employee engagement plantation drives too.
Where does my donation go?
100% of your donation goes directly to tree plantation. We buy saplings, plant them, and maintain them. For Premium donations, you receive a certificate with GPS coordinates of where your trees were planted. We provide 100% transparency with photos and updates.
